For International Women in Cyber Day 2026, I had the opportunity to share my perspectives with Cyber Magazine. And my main message this year was about mentorship.

I absolutely acknowledge that barriers continue to exist for women in tech, and this is exactly why I feel there is a need to focus on showing not just talking.

Showing women considering a career in the sector what is possible and how they can get there. I’d like to see more focus on the women already shaping the sector. We should be raising their profile and talking more about what they are building and changing, while creating more opportunities for those lessons to be passed on through mentoring.

“As a mentor to young female founders, I have seen how valuable it is to share both what has worked and what has been difficult in my own career as a founder. Those conversations have helped them make better decisions, sharpen their focus and gain greater clarity on where they want to take their business in this fast-moving market.

The next generation already has the energy and ideas. What they need is access to people who can offer practical guidance, perspective and the encouragement to keep going.
